Why a Flat Roof Needs a Specialist

On a steep roof, gravity does most of the work — water runs off before it can cause trouble. A low-slope roof gives it nowhere to go. Water sits, snow accumulates and melts in cycles, and every seam, flashing detail, and drain becomes a potential point of failure. That's why flat roofing is its own trade, with its own materials, and its own way of going wrong.

It's also why the crew matters. A company that mainly installs shingles and takes the occasional flat roof tends to treat it as a favour to the customer. We approach it the other way around: flat and low-slope work is our core, and pitched roofing is the secondary service. When you're specifying a commercial re-roof or chasing a leak that's already inside the building, that focus is the difference between a roof that lasts its full service life and one you're patching in three years.
